McNabb Fractures Ankle, Tosses 4 TDs

Today Donovan McNabb added another legendary tale to his long list of personal exploits. Tackled by two Cardinals, McNabb fractured his fibula just above the ankle joint. He came out of the game briefly, did not miss a play, then returned to lead the Phreaks to victory with 4 first half TDs.

After the game it was revealed that McNabb had actually fractured his ankle, and could miss up to 8 weeks. ESPN's Chris Berman commented that, "That game is the grittiest performance that I've seen--it's on a par with Emmitt's playing a half with a dislocated shoulder against the Giants. Can you imagine a guy playing an entire football game on essentially a broken leg, and going out and just having the second best passing game of his career? Four first-half touchdowns? Are you kidding me? Can anyone ever question this guy's heart, ever? Any other QB in the league would have packed it in right away. Donovan didn't miss a single play. That's inspirational."

Phreak GM Ping Shen, speaking after the game outside the Phreak locker room said, "I talked with Donovan; he is in good spirits. If there's any way he can play next week, he will. I think that today we all saw what kind of character that man has, and why the Phreaks organization has so much respect for him. You tell me--who else do you know that threw four touchdowns in one half on a broken leg? It's simply amazing what this guy brings to the field every Sunday. If he does miss time, other guys will just have to find a way to step up and produce. We'll know more tomorrow."
